This is a male marine toad.It holds it's breath when it is being attacked so that it can bulge up. It bulges up so that it can't be swallowed and it's urine is poisonous.


This is a male tarantula. It is not taken put because it is shedding so it is sensitive at this time.

This next animal is a tangerine milk-snake. It is called a milk-snake because farmers used to think that this snake would come into their barn for the cows milk.It is not poisonous but many confuse the milk-snake for another snake that is poisonous so people kill them. This snake comes from Honduras.

Regina the Python

This is a video about a python named Regina. She is 6 years old and will grow to be 6 feet long.You will find out more about her in the video.

Animals

There was an event this weekend where I work and they decided to show some of the animals that are in the mini zoo. The first video is about a lizard. This type of lizard can pop it's tail and looks like a snake. From the video you can see that this lizard has already popped it's tail. You will also see the lizards ears which are basically holes at the side of it's head.



This next video shows a Madagascar hissing cockroach. This cockroach is usually found in Madagascar and it hisses so that's how it got it's name. The cockroach can also hang upside down.


This last video shows a dead tarantula. It died of old age and is in a glass with alcohol to keep the body preserved.
